1. Download and install UltraVPN (http://www.ultravpn.fr/download.htm). Get both Mac and Windows versions. While you're at it, go ahead and set up a username with UltraVPN. It's free and allows you to connect to the UltraVPN servers.
2. Install UltraVPN to Applications folder, then open it.
3. Allow it to set up a sample config script, we'll be replacing it soon enough. If it puts an icon to the right of your clock in the menu bar, go ahead and quit it.
4. This is where Windows comes in. You'll need to install UltraVPN in Windows (VirtualBox, BootCamp, or Wine) I used Wine to install it. It'll fail, but you'll still get the files you need. In whatever Windows installation you're using, go to C:Program FilesUltraVPNconfig. Copy "ca.crt" and "client.ovpn" to your Desktop. Since I'm using Wine, I used the Terminal to find and copy these files.
5. In OS X, open user/Library/openvpn, where user is whatever your username is. Copy "ca.crt" and "client.ovpn" to this folder. Delete whatever .conf file is there, and rename client.ovpn to "OpenVPN.conf".
6. Open up UltraVPN and click on its icon. Select Details... then click connect. If done correctly, it'll spit out some connection information, hopefully with the word SUCCESS throughout it. It will then prompt you for your username/password.
7. Open up any browser and you will be able to navigate anonymously.
8. If you need to use the internet without UltraVPN, you can just disconnect from the network and resume your activity.
NB: As secure as this may be, there are always caveats with anonymity software. Certain applications can make you visible. Use Google to find programs/websites that may do this.
